The AMICO Library™ is a growing online collection of high-quality, digital documentation of works of art from around the world. Images, text and multimedia represent a broad range of works of art in AMICO Member collections, highlighting the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms. The AMICO Library™ is a growing online collection of high-quality, digital documentation of works of art from around the world. Images, text and multimedia represent a broad range of works of art in AMICO Member collections, highlighting the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms, such as paintings, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, photographs, installations, ethnographic objects, decorative arts, books, architecture, and more.

More than simply an image database, documentation of works in The AMICO Library may contain curatorial commentary, detailed provenance information, multiples views or details, sound, video, or other related multimedia. All content in The AMICO Library is rights-cleared for educational purposes including use in student papers and presentations, in class lectures and assignments, and academic projects and papers. Agreements with two major Rights Societies (ARS and VAGA) ensure the representation of modern and contemporary artists.

In June of 2005, the members of the Art Museum Image Consortium voted to dissolve their collaboration. This site remains online for archival reasons.
